Race-horse Inoubliable dies after surgery at Chantilly – Horse Racing Update
The race-horse Inoubliable fractured his cannon bone (off fore) when he was contending the Group 3 Prix de Guiche at the Chantilly race-course on Monday, May 9.
While the race-horse was struggling to establish the lead in the 100 yards event, he fractured his bone that became the cause of his death after the veterinary surgeons operated on him.
The race-horse was the son of Singspiel. Immediately after he received the injury, he was taken to the clinic in the vicinity. After the vets got the radiograph of the colt’s broken leg, they decided to put him down. The x-ray of the race-horse revealed
that he had completely shattered his leg bone.
Inoubliable, was a very talented race-horse. He was owned and bred by Wertheimer brothers and possessed a good racing career so far. In the two races that he contended before he got into the unfortunate accident, he was the winner of these events. Meanwhile,
in the Guiche event he was able to establish for himself fourth place behind the race-horse Absolutely Yes. He was considered one of the favourite contenders for the upcoming races of the season including the Prix du Jockey Club.
The other big news from France is that it has been reported that the champion race-horse Grands Crus might be featuring in the Prix la Barka that will be taking place at the Auteil race-course on the May 29. His trainer David Pipe revealed that the six-year-old
might be seen in action in the aforementioned race. Grands Crus maintains a good racing record as he was beaten only by the dominating colt Big Buck’s in the races that he started in last season. This was the Ladbrokes World Hurdle that took place at the Cheltenham
Festival in which Big Buck’s was able to hold him off by a distance of a length and three quarters. The horse is owned by Roger Stanley and Yvonne Reynolds.
Unfortunately, Grands Crus was not able to work much on his performance as he finished the BGC Partners Liverpool Hurdle at the Aintree race-course, five lengths behind the winner.
