Racial problem?

Now, I'm half mexican, and half white. And my dad's divorced my mom, he was white, so I don't take him into account, beside that the government classifies me as hispanic. I have a round blockish face, thick black hair, and skin inbetween the average mexican and a white person. In my opinion i look hispanic, except, everyone thinks im native. The Ho-Chunks out here have the same shade of skin as me. It gets old when people go "Your Ho-Chunk right?" and I say "No, I'm hispanic" and then it goes on with them saying I'm pulling their leg. I mean I love natives, I'm part native, all hispanic are part native, but my ancestors traded being native for being spanish a loooonnngggg time ago. What are some good lines I can use for doubters, or should I just play along and pretend to be an indio. Thanks.

Tell them you are HUMAN!  It doesn't matter what your skin color is- what group do you identify with?  You are what you identify with-   Good luck- I know that people can be cruel and some try to identify with the best of intentions-  find where you belong within yourself!!

I think to answer to a racists comment, is to give them the attention they want. You are a man and a human,we ALL came from Adan and Eve and at one time we all had the ability to have children in all colors.It being lost over time and imperfection.I guess I have trouble with any God fearing man or woman not recognizing that God is all about color. He loves them all. He put color into everything,every shade,every hue, isnt it only natural that he would of made man with color. His own son came through the Jewish nation...a people of color.I am a Hienze 57 .and proud of it.We all are really.

You dont need to explain a thing.Im sure you are beautiful!!!You be proud of all your heritage...the Hispanic,Caucasian,Indian and probably some Irish and Scottish.

you say your dad is white so you dont count that and class yourself as hispanic and say your ancestors traded being native for being spanish, so you are totally ignoring your white heritage?, you deserve what you get.

In my opinion you are native of the country you are born in, if you where born in mexico you are mexican, if you where born in the us you are american. Its this sort of attitude that leads to racism in the first place.
