Racing 2 mile in the heat?

this week, i have a finals race, and it is supposed to be ~100 degrees.(heat wave!) I run the 3200, and my race is at 4 pm. other than satying hydrated, what are some other tips?

also, should i expect my race time to be slower (how much, if so?) normally i am 11:25

First off, you need to acclimate to that heat.  It takes roughly 2 weeks for your body to adapt to changes in climate.  You don't have that much time so I would start just doing stuff outside during the hottest part of the day so you won't be so shocked on race-day.  If you need to- get a hair-cut and let that head breathe.... it's how your body regulates heat.  Good-luck!!
