Racing Aptitude wins the Yo Eleven at Hollywood Park on 11th November
It was almost as if Racing Aptitude won the 2011 Yo Eleven at Hollywood Park on 11th November effortlessly and won $80, 650. He was able to win the race with Martin Garcia onboard and the two actually ruled the track by leading the lot for nearly
throughout the race.
The three-year-old colt trained by Bob Baffert broke the maiden special weight on 24th October last season on a field of ten contestants. Aptitude’s colt was able to post yet another victory right after the maiden stakes on 13th November
last year. Racing Aptitude won the Arthur I Appleton Juvenile Turf on the Calder Race Course with six other participants yearning for the victory.
However, ever since the beginning of this season, Racing Aptitude has raced a good six times but was successful in only posting just one victory that also after being defeated in the first five occasions. His highest positioning was third at an allowance
race, stood fifth once and was parked sixth thrice.
The 7 ½ furlong field suited Racing Aptitude as he was able to claim the race without being challenged or put under pressure the least bit. Almost as soon as the race began, Racing Aptitude was striving to snatch away the lead from Square Eddie which did
not take very long and ever since then, the winner of the race and the leader of the track was quite apparent.
It took Racing Aptitude 1 minute and 28.72 seconds to get himself acclaimed for the undisputed victory. Tweebster was the runner up of the race and was soon followed by El Gato Malo breaking through the wire.
Tweebster has been seen racing four times this season without any wins, but did show some consistency with coming second at three different occasions, San Fernando Grade 2 then Strub Stakes Grade 2 and the most recent second, the Yo Eleven.
The only win that El Gato Malo was able to post to his record for the last three seasons was an allowance race at Del Mar on 9th September, 2009.
Racing Aptitude has broken free from his constant record of defeats this season and has finally managed a victory after quite some while. How many more are to glorify his records is yet to be seen.
