Belgian teenager Kevin de Bruyne revealed he was ready to make a move to English Premier League giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
The 19-year-old Racing Genk midfielder is currently one of the best young midfielders in Europe and played an important part in helping his side to the Belgian title.
According to the player’s agent, it was only a matter of time before De Bruyne signed for long time suitors, Chelsea.
The Blues have been keeping an eye on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850 international for a while now, and look set to sign him in this summer’s transfer window.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-c29254 de Koster, De Bruyne’s agent, confirmed his client’s desire to make a move to Stamford Bridge. He said while speaking to reporters:
“Kevin is ready to step forward in his career now, he has done what he needs to at Genk and is ready for the next step.
And Kevin wants to move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.”
De Bruyne began his senior career with Racing Genk in the 2008-2009 season and has made 65 appearances since then, scoring 7 goals.
Despite interest from other Premier League sides like Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, De Bruyne has always been inclined towards the London club.
His agent revealed the youngster was well aware of the opportunities he was most likely to receive at Chelsea as compared to the other sides.
He continued:
“He knows Chelsea have been following him for a long time, and Chelsea would be his first choice, I had meetings with other clubs – although nothing more than on a scouting level, but he knows what can be achieved at Chelsea.”
The player himself has made it clear he is looking forward to a move to Chelsea, even if it meant spending the first season or two out on loan.
With the Blues targeting another Belgian youngster, Anderlecht striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Romelu-Lukaku-c31672, it was rumoured that Chelsea would send De Bruyne on a loan move to Anderlecht.
Even though the possible deal is yet to be confirmed, De Bruyne insisted he would not mind spending a season on loan to Anderlecht.
The 19-year-old midfielder admitted he would be grateful for a chance to play for the Blues, even if it meant being loaned out to another side for more first team experience.
De Bruyne said:
“I have had time to think about my future and I would love to join Chelsea, but the important thing next season is that I play.
And with Chelsea there is not that guarantee, but there would be at Anderlecht and they would be ideal springboard for me.”
Under the management of former boss Carlo Ancelotti, the Blues sent most of their young players out on loan to other sides.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scott-Sinclair-c32675 were all sent out on loans to either other Premier League sides or Championship teams.
The last two players spent almost their entire careers at Chelsea out on loan, which is why they recently made permanent moves to other sides.
If the Blues complete the signing of De Bruyne, they will be hoping to retain his services on a permanent basis even if they decide to loan him out in the beginning.
