Racing Post competition winners visit Paul Nicholls' yard

Winners of the Racing Post Members' Club competition were given the honour of visiting Paul Nicholls' yard where they had an opportunity to get close up with the champion colt, Kauto Star.
Robert Brown and Andy Johnson alongside their partners Charlotte Brough and Kim Munslow enjoyed an exciting morning on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.
They were not only provided a chance of meeting the star trainer, Nicholls but also the great runners like Kauto Star, Big Buck's and Zarkandar. Kauto Star’s half-brother Kauto Stone was also there to welcome the respectable guests.
Being the members of the Racing Post Club, Robert Brown and Andy Johnson automatically became a part of the draw. The luck was kind to them, as they earned the mega opportunity to have a thrill-packed session with Nicholls and his trainers.
Johnson was delighted after spending some quality time in the top jumps stable, and expressed gratitude to the authorities for providing such a massive opportunity.
"A massive thanks to Paul Nicholls and the Racing Post for arranging such a brilliant prize. Getting the chance to have an insider's view of the top jumps stable in the country was amazing and to get so close to Kauto Star, Denman, Big Buck's and all
of the others was a thrill," said Johnson.
He also wished best of luck to Nicholls' trainees for next month’s Cheltenham Festival. Kauto Star has won the Gold Cup on a couple of occasions, and Johnson wished him good for his historic third win in the mega competition.
Brown also cited his trip as a great experience, and was thankful to Nicholls for sparing some time out of his busy schedule.
He added: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The trip itself had so many highlights, such as watching horses like Zarkandar and Brampour work, seeing Kauto Stone schooling and obviously seeing the great Kauto Star in the flesh."
At the moment, Nicholls is completely focused on the upcoming high profile Cheltenham Festival. He is due to have many runners in the contest, but the centre of attention will be the Gold Cup hot favourite, Kauto Star.
