Question:

Racing Post vs. Daily Racing Form?

I'm starting to get into UK horse racing but coming from Canada I can't equate the racing post with the daily racing form. Where in the post can I see running positions throughout the race, distance, speed numbers, odds, pace etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

  1. The Form provides much more info than the Post.

  2. Sure they do,,, in the racing form

Maybe after 60 yrs you missed it

Look at the results of other races it does show where the horse was and  the times ,,

    I have seen them

    I love the RACING FORUM

  3. Having gambled on horses for over 60 years,I have never seen any racing publication give the running position throughout the race.   The race distance, and estimated odds are available for every race in the Racing Post..   The only info you will get on pace is whether the horse is a front runner or comes from "off the pace" i.e. comes late from behind.   Speed ratings can be obtained from various publications.   Sadly Horse racing is way behind Greyhounds where you get timings at up to five stages of every race.

  4. Norman, For someone who has gambled for over 60 years, have you ever really read a Racing Form.

The DRF shows race position in every race that a horse has raced in its past performances.

As for a answer to your question, I can not help you with the UK. Sorry. .
