Spanish side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Santander have been priced out of a move for Sporting Lisbon’s Valeri Bojinov, as the club do not have the necessary finances to secure his signature.
Bulgarian International, Valeri Bojinov, has been put up for sale by Sporting, after the player’s antics in the League Cup.
The striker coerced his teammates into allowing him to take the penalty against Moreirense. Although there were protests on the field, Bojinov refused to let anyone else take the spot-kick and eventually took it himself, only to see his shot easily saved
by the goalkeeper.
His teammates were furious, the crowd went hostile and Domingos Paciencia was livid. The Lions didn’t take his actions lightly and are now allegedly pressing charges against him on account of disciplinary action.
Bojinov’s future at Estadio Jose Alvalade is all but over and the club are keen to get rid of him as soon as possible. Luckily for them there are a host of European sides that willing to acquire him this winter.
Levski Sofia have made their interest in the player public and their president, Todor Batkov, claimed that he would fund the transfer if the 25-year-old was willing to return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bulgaria-c2861.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Trabzonspor-c40759, who are also keen on acquiring the services of the former Manchester City man.
However in the latest turn of events, Spanish outfit Racing Santander have also revealed their desire to sign Bojinov. But unlike the other parties interested in the player, they do not boast a lot of financial muscle and their president claimed that the
transfer could not go through, as the club did not have the cash for it.
Speaking to reporters, the official said that his side could not afford to bring the Bulgarian to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, as they were suffering from financial woes but reiterated his interest in the former Parma man.
"We have economic difficulties so there is no possibility of hiring Bojinov. I would have liked to have him in my team but we have had to resolve some things. You cannot hire him up to 31 days,” Francisco Pernía was quoted as saying.
With a move to Racing Santander ruled out, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andriy-Shevchenko-c6014 would be quite tempting.
However if he is unable to engineer a switch to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032, Italian clubs are hot on his trail and should acquire him in a cut price deal.
Sporting Lisbon are also eager to offload Bojinov and will sanction a loan deal, if a permanent transfer does not arise this winter.
