Racist or Discrimate ???

I found out my case manager had made a bad comment on my case below: " Customer is slowly opening up to speak with Case Manager in English. Customer still wants to get assistance from Ms. JL to translate for what we talk about. Case Manager informed customer that she needs to stop using Ms. JL as a handicap and have confidence in herself to listen what is being said and to take more time to understand what is being asked of her. Customer agreed and understands."

I had language barrier, I do not understand or speak English well, that why I need a translator. Please let me know is this a Racist or Discrimate ??? ... What can I do??? Can I ask for her to resign???, How can I do this??? I can not believe any one can comment like this.......

  1. You may ask an english speaking person to resign, but Nobody will or should understand your language.

  2. wow, you feel like you are being discriminated against and yet you ask this question in quite understandable ENGLISH?

so do you speak english or not?

  3. This is not racist or discriminatory!! Your case manager is actually looking out for your best interest. If you constantly rely on a translator, you will NEVER learn English.

You must commit yourself to learning to communicate in English only. You will make mistakes, but that is how you will learn. Have the courage to try and you will be rewarded.

Using the "Racism" card will only make people dislike you. Then you will experience REAL discrimination based on YOU not your language barrier or race.

Not every obstacle you experience is race based. Actually almost all obstacles you face will not be based on race, they will be a result of not being able to speak English. Of course you can find this out the hard way and stick to the "I am such a victim" attitude.

  4. You seem to speak english well enough so I understood the question. I think its more impatience than racism
