  1. Babolat Pro Hurricanes are really good strings. I use them, because they have perfect power and spin, not too much or too little. And they're very durable, even for heavy-hitters. I got mine strung at 56 for a little more power. You might wanna string them at 60 for a good balance of control and power, since the Microgel Extreme Pro is already powerful.

You could also try hybrid strings. It's really up to you on which strings to mix. Just go to the store, and ask what strings are good and what they are good for. My favorite hybrid I've done was mixing soft and power/spin strings which were Prince Premier Softflex 16 as the crosses and Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power Spin 16 as mains. They gave me a mix of comfort, power, spin, and control. Again, hybrids are meant for you to experiment with. There's no such thing as a best hybrid.

  2. the  Head Microgel Extreme Pro is a very good racket. good balance, good balance and control. but slightly heavier than the Extreme.

you can try stringing your racket with Head Ultra Tour 16L strings at 50-52 lbs.

it's a polyester string and gives sufficient power and control.

you must remember........lower tension makes the sweet spot bigger. you may think that a lower tension gives you less control. but the feel and the ease you get with each shot counters what ppl tell you bout lower tensions. you are able to generate more spin off the ground and your serves.

you just have to get use to it.

you must also remember........polyester strings are stiffer than nylon or synthetics. that is why for polyester strings you should lower your string tensions.

nylon and synthetics are stretchable hence for the same racket, you should string at bout 2 lbs higher.

example: polyester 50-52lbs........nylon and synthetics 52-54lbs.

but again you may have to experiment with various type of strings till you are comfortable with a certain type or brand.

try the Head Ultra Tour 16L.

    have fun!!
