  1. Do you have any witnesses. I would speak to my local council representative if I was you and the police didn't say anything.

You may also want to contact the media. You should also always call the security or bouncers at a club or the owner as soon as such an incident occurs in a public place. Tell them that you will report the club to the police if they do not act.

You can also threaten the owners with the media.

Make a lot of noise. Dont keep quiet. This type of actions are really hurtful and uncalled for and remember in the UK you have the law on your side!

  2. The police probably haven't done anything about it because they probably have more important issues to deal with, like people being stabbed or robbed. Yes, what was said was wrong and disgusting, but why bother wasting your time, energy and money, trying to get them in trouble when the police probably won't do anything and when all you have to do is realize that you're better than that and ignore it? It's very simple to do, just ignore the ignorant hateful comments, but I would recommend calling the club manager and complaining about it, but anything more is a waste of time.

Here in the US, if someone said that it would be considered freedom of speech (here, it only becomes illegal when it becomes extremely violent), and most people would roll their eyes and ignore it, so why not do the same? Ignorant people aren’t worth your time.

  3. Ignore them and walk away. It is hard to prove that they said anything so basically you could be accused of making it up and playing the race card.

I went with a Indian friend to a pub in London a while ago, he got abuse from a thug, we called the Police and they were there is 10 minutes and arrested the guy but we had witnesses.

  4. The law forbids discrimination on the grounds of race.  It also forbids inciting racial violence.  There is no law that says we've got to like each other or that we can't express opinions.  You get insulting people in bars - it's something to do with the product they serve.  It would be difficult for the police to prove they had committed an offence.

You could make a formal complaint to the club secretary.  If he decides he'd rather have racist members than black members, there's not much you can do about it other than find another bar.

  5. I'm sorry you had that experience. Most British people are pretty decent, but there are a few numbskulls. If you think about it, justice has already been served. Their crime is their punishment.

  6. throw them in the brig

there most likely is a group of people that specialize in this stuff find them and tell them

sorry i know racism isnt a joke

    bye

  7. The police have a duty to act and this could affect the licence of the club.  Write also to the club.  It would be considered "inciting racial hatred"

But basically, if that happens, take your custom elsewhere.  I'm surprised actually, because the North East of the UK is actually quite a tollerant place.

  8. Leave It Be, I Know Alot More About Racism Than People Think. Let Them Say What They Want. Getting Angry and Upset Will Only Let Them Win. Its Like A 99 People Say How Are You and One Walks Up and Say F*@#$ You. That One Person Should Ruin Your Day.
