Rad Racer for NES, 3-d mode?

Im playing it, was told years ago, the select button does that rainbow look, just put on 3-d glasses and doesn't help. Is there another reason for that feature?

It was only for the 3D mode. One of the "gimmicks" of two NES games...the other was "3D Worldrunner" which had the same feature.

If you want to have some fun and up the challenge, use the mode with no glasses. My friends and I called it "drunk driving mode". (I am not endorsing/making fun of drunk driving, thats just what we called it.)
