Atletico Madrid are two points adrift of 4th placed Levante in La Liga points table and the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368 striker is confident of a strong finish in the league.
Los Rojiblancos have seen a dramatic change of fortunes since the ousting of Gregorio Manzano. The Capital club were reeling in the bottom half of La Liga table at the start of the season, but now, under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Pablo Simeone, they are a different team altogether.
Last summer’s most expensive Primera Division signing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276, reflected that he is happy with the improved performances of the team and believes they play different from how they used to under the former manager.
Falcao remarked that they are more united and are picking up points they failed to pick in their prior pursuits. Continuing on the topic, the 40-million Euros acquisition highlighted their performances at home and how they have churned results in front of
the fans.
However, the prolific striker is adamant that Atletico Madrid need to pick up their away form to continue rising in La Liga.
"We are doing well, that is for sure," he said. "We are picking up points we could not collect before and we are performing at a high level.
"We had demonstrated all this at home, but not on the road. I think we have a good squad with the ability to face every difficult goal that we have ahead of us."
Since his introduction to life in the Iberian Peninsula, Falcao has continued his prolific form in front of goal. The attacker has scored 14 goals in 16 La Liga outings and is currently third in race to win the Pichichi.
Despite his efficient goal haul, the Colombian attacker was criticised by former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 as a step in the wrong direction.
The prolific goal scorer was not fazed by the opinion of Porto's supremo and rejected his opinions about him.
"He has the right to say whatever he wants," Falcao told Marca. "Joining Atletico was a goal of mine, a challenge and a dream.”
Atletico Madrid are seventh in La Liga and lock horns with the exasperated http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Santander in their next league match.
