long as I'm in range. How can I get him to stop that? I take the same route everyday and he's always there at the same spot. I can't change my route because the only other one will take me miles longer out of my way.

  1. LOL

  2. The radar gun that a police officer uses should not affect your "pacemaker" in any way.  If you think it does, tell your doctor.  It can't be too great a problem if you can drive through it daily.

  3. Do you really expect anyone to believe such an accusation? Do you think we just fell off a turnip truck or what? I could see that happening if you were within inches of the radar gun, but not  in your car, protected by metal from the gun, driving along a highway that gets checked routinely for speeders.

I think the real issue here is you can't speed and you don't like it. So, lets drum up this story and see where it goes. Thanks for the laugh.

  4. Talk to your heart doctor because most cops are using Lidar which is a laser that responds to moving objects.

  5. Are you speeding?  I would stop and talk to him.

  6. It is not possible for radar to affect your pacemaker, even if you are standing directly in front of the radar. While most police radar bands are easily detected using a good radar detector, your pacemaker is in no way a 'good radar detector' and woudn't be affected.

How do you know your pacemaker is affected? If your heartbeat increases or changes as you approach the speed trap, the reason is your fear and concern over the speed trap. The radar gun's radar frequencies has nothing to do with it. If a police radar gun caused ANY physical discomfort or symptoms of ANY kind, this problem would occur thousands of times a day in thousands of locations around the world and police radar would disappear due to health concerns. Killing passing motorists with your radar gun would not be a acceptable cost for checking the speed of passing vehicles.

  7. I would look into to see if you have any legal recourse. I doubt it. Maybe you should just run the cop over next time.
