you are comparing dried apples and tomatoes.

the X1-950XT, even though a decent card, is two generations old whereas the 8800GT is one of the latest NV throw into the battle.

consider a 3870, or at least a 3850, which start to draw even with the 8800GT.

a 3870X2 (which has 2 3870 GPUs and 1GB of DDR) goes beyond that, but is also more expensive, even though way cheaper then a 8800 Ultra (but more powerful).
