How come when you convert radians to degrees, the equation is Pi/180 or 180/Pi?

Where did the number 180 come from?

  1. Its because one circle is 2Pi in radians and 360 degrees. So the equation to convert is either 2Pi/360 or 360/2Pi, but when you simplify them they become Pi/180 or 180/Pi. Hope this helps
