  1. Radiant heat, hands down, is best!

  2. There's no question that floor heating is cheaper in the long run than radiator heating (although carpeting will decrease the savings), but otherwise the choice is mainly personal preference. I don't think anyone can't say which is "better" - it depends on what you like.

Many people love the feeling of a crisp, cool floor on their feet in the morning (I do - I detest floor heating for this very reason). Others who prefer a warm floor would also prefer underfloor heating. Aesthetics are another concern - some people hate radiators, while others like well-kept-up copper radiators.

  3. Go with the underfloor heating. It is distributed evenly and wonderful!

  4. Hydronic radiant heat is the best heat by far, the second best  is good old fashioned  hydronic cast iron radiators . Mass is the key . the floor becomes a giant radiator  , therefore   the floor is essentially a giant radiator . i am sure you will get someone to say that  forced warm air will be the best heat you can get , but that is just nonsense . the inital cost of radiant is expensive but the comfort level is awesome . and the efficency  is  unbeatable.
