Radical Islam Vs The World (Liberals please?)?

Long whinded...but it'll spark debate i'm sure

I need somewhere I can properly vent my own thoughts with regards to my country, the problems facing us and the people against it's own government.

Firstly I'd like to begin where we all I believe find a common interest, a common 'want'. The nearest we've got to defining this 'want' (speaking collectively, and on a economical/political level) is called a democracy, there is no better system. As Winston Churchill once said; "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried. " I don't think any of us will argue against that, but as always i'm open to suggestion so please feel free!

I'll admit before anyone calls me bias, that I am a massively patriotic British man. I grew up a lot in the past 2 or 3 years and have a very long way to go i'm sure. I, like many of my friends have had the pleasure in my younger teens where 'anarchy' ruled my life, punk music, propaganda, self-indulgement, hate toward the government, basically I was a blind kid believing he understood the world and it's problems via progressive manipulation by the so called 'know it alls' of this world to turn against your government, to turn against society, to embrace humiliation as a standard, and to accept belonging to a nation of 'evil doers'. So what does the kid (Or should I say 'liberal'? lol) achieve through this constant nagging and whining? The simple truth is (unless perhaps your an activist) nothing, all it creates is further negative output by that individual towards what I believe is the 'greater good', to me these kind of ideas simply harass and become obstacles to the true goal (The Common Goal). This is a phrase I personally believe we all need to start embracing against the newest threat out there (Radical Islam): "For The Greater Good", because many things I believe will need to done to erradicate this threat and these ideologies, and in the face of political correctness these days they may certainly be deemed, unethical, unmoral, even evil perhaps, and that's why the 'greater good' needs to be understood so we are willing to take action NOW before it's too late.

Coming to a new understanding, one which has much more clarity is that on the most part, a large section of our world 'knows' what needs to be achieved, it 'knows' what system must be put in place for global security and sensible control and management over an ever complexing world. (UK, USA, Canada, Most of Europe, Australia) Firstly I believe the process of elimination must take place, this involves eliminating ideologies that we know can never evolve or adapt in the world today safely, ideas we simply cannot allow to branch out to our nearing borders. Radical Islam being at the forefront of these crazy all conquering ideas of course is the vocal point, it has to go, and we can't afford to be in the 'grey'. When I say that (grey), think of 'decision' making as a spectrum, you have black (yes) and white (no) and you have 'grey' which is 'undecided'. Now the UK and the USA have MADE A DECISION whilst the rest stay in the 'grey' with regards to how do we stop these threats. Why can't people make a decision? Why can't Europe with all it's military might decide to go in at full force and erradicate these problems whilst supporting and protecting the innocent in these territories? Why? Because to stay in the grey leaves you in a seat of ability, what's this ability? The ability to 'criticise'. Anyone stupid enough to believe they can 'action' something without disagreement on some level, is both deluded and wrong. Again, I refer to Winston Churchills quote: "You have enemies? Good, it means you've stood up for something sometime in your life". The liberals as much as they deem to have an opinion, they do! But they have no 'plan of action' against there opinoins, they are simply taking the higher moral ground, again, just to have the ability of critcising.

So now, I want to hear from the liberals. I want to hear from people who are apposed to this war, WHAT is your plan of action against radical islam? The conservatives have a plan, it's to invade these territories, only through forcing your way through can you force a divide in these territories into two pots, those who are 'for' radical islam and those who are against it and simply want what we have in our nations, stability, bright futures for our children and success. Why don't people understand that when our troops are walking through these cities, they are not 'forcing' the innocents out of there, they are driving terrorists away to confine them into one territory..(east Iraq, Iran border) so we can eliminate them. I'm sorry, but you only have to take a look at our own democracies to learn that to achieve what we did, we to had to take the same steps. The only difference is, 'we' (US and UK) are making the steps for these countries ourselves, 'we' know what needs to be done as they haven't even estab

  1.   We should learn from history that suppression is never the answe. In suppression the flowers of dissent grow. The troops that walk thorough cities are recruitment agents for terrorism through their actions and terrorism. Was it not the shameful policy of internment and the flying of helicoptors with english accents coming from them that heralded the worst spell of the troubles in northern Ireland. It was indeed. and when did the grassroots of Iraq become suicide bombers? When the west occupied them.

You might think troops are some sort off monolithic force of order and law. But the racist actions of american troops in Iraq shows they are not. In the north where things are much closer to western scrutiny. The reports of disgusting racist vitriol from troops, their random beatings of catholics, revenge attacks for troops killed by radicals bombs against innocent communities, smashings of houses and of course accidental shootings.

through such actions troops become just as thuggish an"d irrational as those "radicals" and push the community into radicals hands. This is what is happening in the muslim world now.

The solution is simply to invest in infrastructure and build up wealth in the arab world and lift these people out of poverty instead of taking there oil and ******* off! it was through economic concession, and civil rights equalisation that the northern troubles were wound down and terrorist organisations were wittled away at, losing support and power

  2. Well said, I wish more people would speak out instead of being silenced cause of political correctness ( seems people are even afraid to mention tradgedys like 7/7 these days incase muslims get offended), it's ridiculous. Tony Blair said it best "conform or leave"

Everyone should be welcome to live here as long as they become part of this country and respect its ways and culture (Im Jewish but I dont go around demanding that Britain has to submit to Judaism and follow our ways or else)

And might I add that the privileges muslims have in this country are nothing short of royalty compared to the treatment and lack of freedom they recieve in their own countries, but the majority aren't even grateful. Our countries hospitality is repaid by suicide bombings, protests over banning Christmas and holocaust memorial day etc (which was banned in bolton because muslims found it offensive), etc etc. Respect it or get the h**l out, please.

  3. You are a fool.  Every time a US or British soldier needlessly kills a civilian in an Islamic country it creates another martyr to the cause.  The kind of invasion you're talking about would turn half the world into jihadis.

Radical Islam is a reaction to perceived injustices committed by the colonial powers, both now and in the past.  The only way to neutralise it permanently is to treat these countries fairly and justly, stop interfering in their internal politics, and stop s******g them through one-sided trade policies enforced by bodies like the IMF and GATT.

  4. Are you crazy? You realize that you are talking about killing billions of people? It would be less costly if all Americans and English died. And we would have the same result, no more terrorism. Because for Radical Islam, the true enemy is the USA. So what do you have to say about that, if the whole world came out of the gray, and decided to choose the lesser evil and wipe out the UK and the USA? Ridiculous, right? So is killing all Islam, what you are proposing is what Hitler tried a few years ago- he called it the final solution. You would be better off actually trying to look at both sides of this conflict. Yes we have to fight terrorism, but fight doesn't mean war. It means fighting ignorance ( not unlike yours in this matter), the kind of ignorance that is making terrorists attack us, and is now making you want to attack islam. We should educate people, let them have what is rightfully theirs, how can countries that have so much oil, and are so rich, have people so poor?

Look around you, who is benefiting from this? Who is making a bundle of money from these conflicts? Try whipping out oil and arms dealers, half the problem will be solved.

  5. I'm with Philip and Rommel on this, I believe Islam to be totally incompatible with the West and oppose the creeping Islamification of England and Europe. I understood all 'good muslims' wanted all us infidel to 'revert' and the restablishment of a world Caliphate? Whilst anyone voicing opposition to Islam is frequently accused of believing media propaganda, I personally do not believe the propaganda about Islamic 'extremists'. There have been too many incidents worldwide and too little condemnation from muslims to believe there are 'moderates' and 'extremists'.

  6. i have to agree with Philip. there is no way!! that the two can live side by side. i too! believe that all Muslims should be patronised. sent to a country that is predominantly of the Islamic faith.

  7. If Muslims stopped invading the West with mass immigration and the West stopped invading the Muslim world with tanks, everything would be OK. The worlds big enough for us all to live on it without having to live together. Bring all troops home and repatriate all Muslims, we don't need to kill each other, just be apart from each other.

  8. I will say just this - someone convinced us there is grey/gray out there.  Let me tell you something:  there isn`t any such thing as grey/gray, no matter what you hear.
