Vladislav Radimov has raised his voice against the undisciplined Russian fans and has backed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Miguel to help Zenit St. Petersburg win the UEFA Champions League tie against Malaga CF
Zenit St. Petersburg failed to complete the Russian Premier League tie against Dynamo Moscow at Arena Khimki on Saturday courtesy of the officials that abandoned the match after the fans attacked http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Shunin-c6283 with firecrackers.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper was taken to the nearby hospital after a firecracker exploded under his feet. Though Shunin managed to escape a serious injury, he is expected to remain on the sidelines for some time.
But it is not the first time since the Dinamiki fans have made a mess during a match as they caught headlines after creating trouble in the Russian Cup tie against Torpedo Moscow before hitting their own players with a paintball
gun during a practice session.
Vladislav Radimov has lamented these incidents and urged the Russian football union to take necessary action against the ill-mannered fans in order to save the declining reputation of Russian football across the world.
The 36-year-old midfielder urged the fans to be more disciplined and cultured in the near future, telling them that they are not going to get anything following their questionable behaviour.
However, Radimov believes that the incident at Arena Khimki will not affect the St. Petersburg club when they host Malaga in the UEFA Champions League’s group stage match at Petrovsky stadium on Wednesday.
“Zenit have professional players who can understand the situation. I think they can play the European fixture confidently irrespective of what happened. I think they can win the match if they do not lose motivation.”
“Malaga is the strongest team in our group and they have decent players who can decide the fate of the match on their own. I think the Russian outfit can still progress to the later stages of the competition if they win the remaining
group stage games.”
“Zenit needs to turn the tables after recording three European defeats already this season.” Copa del Rey winner was quoted as saying.
As things stand, Spalletti’s wards are at the bottom-spot on their respective group table with just three points.
