  1. No, they need to change their music policy, if we the public MUST have a daily barrage of "Black Rap" music then they need to shut down 1 Extra that is basically a "Black music" station in its self and put the money into other areas of the BBC like other "Ethnic" radio stations.

Some of the presenters are not what I call presenter, they chat shite and don't have anything to say unlike 10 years ago when a presenter had some intelligence and could sustain a conversation and offer up some entertainment form it.

What else do you want to know?

  2. bring back Tony Blackburn !!!

  3. Bad in my opinion.

I miss Danny Rampling's love groove dance party especially.

He's been replaced by 'Westwood'. A white self proclaimed gangster rapper - which is odd as his father was a priest!

Either way, Danny preached fun and energy, and Westwood preaches sexual and disrespectful slurs to women, because it's 'cool' to do this in rap music, and this is what 12yr olds want to play on their Ipods...

Radio 1 is simply too 'commercial' these days - it caters for the masses instead of niche markets.

John Peel was another loss. (R.I.P). He is a prime example of a niche market, and what Radio 1 excelled at.

Even Pete Tong is playing R&B now just to get ratings - very sad.

Tong, Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyk, Tall Paul in Ibiza in the late 1990's (to me) was the epitome of Radio 1 dance culture.

    Not now.....

  4. first I think all radio stations are bad if you listen to them continually and all the time, also it depend on the mood you are in, so some times they are good, that's when you are happy, and bad when you just cant be bothered to do anything.

    good luck
