Ok, radio stations have big huge libraries of music, right?

Well, is there a way to download that whole library on your computer?

  1. They basically do the same thing as everyone else but they have website to go to, to download from that doesn't charge you for the song as you pay for the song everytime you use it.

You can download the whole library.. but you can do the samething on I-tunes and limewire by searching out the songs that are say top 500 or 1000 songs for the format you love...

Either that or get in good with the PD/MD to allow you to get it dumped in for you (or who ever adds songs to the station)

  2. That is a pretty good answer.  You really have to be a PDs friend in order to get that music.  One thing that they have started doing is using uncompressed WAV files because of HD radio, so everything sounds good.  These files are quite large, so you might have to compress them down so they will fit on your hard drive (unless you have a large hard disk, then you can just leave them be for best quality).  Radio stations have a unique music collection.  Since I have worked for a station and run my own, they have mixes you can't get anywhere else...not even on commerical releases.
