Radio Station In Miami?

I used listen to a radio station here in El Paso and it started transmitting a station from either Miami or Los Angeles. In the morning this puerto rican or cuban man used to make prank phone calls to random places acting stupid, I think one time he called customer services while he was beating his son in the background. It's in Spanish and the man's name was Don something...

If a group owns a popular station in a big city and has a station in a small town where they think the format (or a portion of the format) will work, they will sometimes simulcast the programming of the one on the other.

Though you really don't ask a question, that's undoudedly what you heard.

Clear Channel owns Mega 94.9 in Miami and a few stations in El Paso, so... mystery solved.
