Radio Stream not working with Vista anymore?

Hi there Please Please help me with this issue as its affecting my job!

Im using Vista Home Basic on a Toshiba laptop, AOL as my ISP and Macafee is my viral software - and for some reason the radio broadcast that I listen to on the William Hill website isnt working - Ive updated Java, flashplayer9, shockwave, windows, unblocked the pop up facility, made sure the firewall wasnt blocking this connection etc - - - this is nothing to do with mute buttons, sliders or anything like that as the little screen in flash, actually shows you the connection on screen (which is now blank) so I know its not even connecting to the site so nothing is playing through the screen at all as its not even connecting.

Something I feel needs to be checked, unchecked, enabled or disabled somwehere and is soemthing probably simple and silly - but its driving me to dispair. the radio streams works on my stand alone system that has XP on it .. but not on the laptop with Vista on it.

The weekend though, it did do one of its famous system updates and since then a few things went haywire, the clock and sate had to be adjusted (I discovered this cause windows live messenger wouldnt work, but tis working now) and this radio broadcast wouldnt work, and still isnt working.
My partner (thinking that he was helping) actually did a system restore taking the laptop back a few years lol so retracing the weekends update isnt possible now!

Please please help me if you can!
sincerest regards

Terry
