Radio alarm clock?

since i moved my radio alarm clock it crackles when liserning to the radio is it broken?

  1. My answer to anything that goes on the fritz is give it a good hard thump!  If that doesn't fix it, then it's broken!!


  2. Clock radios have crappy antennas. There isn't much you can do about it except find a good spot for it.

  3. Its not broken, just move it around or move its antenna toward a window, the ceiling, anything that will help it get better reception.  if all that fails, take some tinfoil, roll it into a string a foot or 2 long, and attach that to the antenna and run it up the wall.

  5. Is it tuned to an AM station? AM radios can be sensitive to where they are located.  Try moving it back, and see if the reception gets better.  Has the radio been placed next to some electrical device that creates interference?

  6. nope, something is blocking the signal, you will see a long wire from the back of your radio alarm clock, try moving that about or even making it longer that will work
