  1. I liked Radio Caroline & Laser 558

  2. Radio Caroline broadcast from the ship Mi Amigo which sunk on march 20th 1980.

I used to listen to Kenny Everett and Tony Blackburn back in the 60s.

The pirate radio stations were the reason Radio one and two appeared.

Back in those days there was no music station apart from Radio Luxemburg on 208 meters medium wave. You had to struggle to hear it through the interferance.

  3. Lazer 558 was awesome in it's day, music, music and more music. Shame about being on MW, but that's the only way to get such wide RF coverage........

  4. Radio Caroline used to be a famous Pirate (Broadcasting illegally) radio station that was based from a ship to avoid being caught.

I think from the news recently that it's been relaunched (In both senses).
