Radio controlled nitro airplane?

Could I use any servos with any transmitter and receiver. Or do I need a specific servos for a specific receiver?

Also can i use any transmitter and receiver on any airplane and any servos?

i know for the servos its a question of changing the crystals and of course wether or not the'll fit on the plane and if they have the apropriate power and such, also fm transmitter are the best but there a little expensive, the reason why is because there is much less interference
