Radio interns only: Is it good to speak your mind on some things when asked?

Like when the boss hires someone that is more pompous than he thought and telling him that he KNEW that he was pompous from the get go?

I'm not an intern, but a radio vet. In the situation you give I would not speak my mind, if someone is going off about how pompous a co-worker is just shrug and let it go in one ear and out the other. Now, if you were being asked about a story, or promotion idea if you're not in news then yes, if I were your supervisor I would expect you to speak your mind when asked.
