I would like to buy a radio scanner off of the net and i am not sure what to look for? What frequencies are good.

Also will they ever stop using the frequencies on a scanner any time soon such as air band vhf etc?

I was looking at this http://www.amazon.co.uk/200-Channel-Scanner-1-Touch-Service-Search/dp/B000A1EHTY/ref=sr_1_53?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1215629981&sr=1-53

but not sure if its any good.

I used to own a simple radio scanner and used to enjoy using it.

  1. Get one with the widest frequency range possible. there will be some changes in frequency but probably nothing new in ranges.  Definitely get one with "trunk tracking" or similar.  the more channels the better.
