Radio station logs?

I'm trying to find the radio logs from 12/28/07 from a radio station and I can't find them anywhere on the internet. Any ideas where I can find them? I checked yes.com but they already deleted that day from the logs.

  1. i see people are also failing to realize that not all stations want their logs as public information.  i have been apart of some stations in my career that shred their logs.  you can certainly try and attempt to get this information but the likelyness of it isnt all that good.  especially if it is in a major market or a big city.  smaller cities and stations might but not the big dogs.

  2. Contact the radio stations music director or go to the radio stations website. I would also check, if the station is a college radio station, cmj's website. Call up the station and ask the dj if they kept their own log. I do on my show.

  3. Duh is about the best bet in what he said, other than that a email to the Program director is about the only shot short of going to the radio station and asking to see the radio inspection file that every station must maintain

  4. Call the station and ask them.  They usually keep up to a year of back logging, usually electronically.  They can print it up for you.  Try the program director or the human resources person.  That only goes for music logs though, usually commercials or syndicate shows are not kept.

  5. Probably not, unless you subscribe to SoundScan or Mediabase. Are you just looking for the music or do you actually need the station log showing spots, announcements etc? If you have a legitimate reason to want them, I could go into more detail. Check my profile. if it's important, my email's always open to non-weirdos ;<)
