Hi, i got a car radio and the memory wire (yellow one) dont seem to work, checked the fuses and there all ok.. is there another wire i could link this upto?.. i was thinking as the memory wire is the 12v live wire could i just connect it to any other 12v live wire or does it have to be the yellow one?.. i dont want to just do it and end up blowing the fusses or blowing the wirein out the car.. so if i just connected it to the live wire would it work and be safe? or does it have to connect to the live yellow wire?.. i was thinking of connetcing it to the red wire i think thats another live one

  1. Depending on what model/brand radio it is....some radios use the yellow as the constant live/hot wire(battery) and the red as the ignition wire.So yes, hook it into a power source that is always live or on even without the key on
