RadioShack-Nissan-Trek confirmed for World Tour in 2012

UCI License Commission has confirmed that Team RadioShack-Nissan-Trek fulfilled all the requirements and will ride as a World Tour team for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
The team has also finalised its roster, as a total number of 30 riders chosen from14 different nations will ride for the newly formed RadioShack-Nissan-Trek squad in 2012.
Team management responsibilities will be held by Johan Bruyneel, as there are as many as six Team Directors to accompany him in the management.
José Azevedo, Kim Andersen, Dirk Demol, Alain Gallopin, Lars Michaelsen and Luca Guercilena are the six Team Directors for the new team.
UCI mentioned in a statement, "On the basis of the documents submitted to the UCI Licence Commission following requests by the Commission on 16 November (to GreenEdge Cycling Team) and 18 November (to RadioShack-Nissan), the Commission today approved the
registration of the RadioShack-Nissan (USA) team for the 2012 season and granted a UCI WorldTour licence to the GreenEdge Cycling Team (AUS) for the 2012-2013 period".
A list of 15 teams was published by UCI in October confirming the WorldTour license. Three more teams were added in November, to make a total number of 18 teams eligible for the World Tour license in 2012.
The merger of Leopard Trek and RadioShack has resulted in one of the best WorldTour teams thus far.
The final teams with the WorldTour license are: FDJ, Garmin-Cervélo, GreenEdge, Katusha Team, Lampre – ISD, AG2R La Mondiale, Astana Pro Team, BMC Racing Team, Euskaltel-Euskadi, Liquigas – Cannondale and Rabobank.
The WorldTour team’s list also includes RadioShack-Nissan, Sky Procycling, Team Saxo Bank, Vacansoleil-DCM, Lotto Belisol Team Movistar Team and Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team.
Riders like Andy Schleck, Frank Schleck, Fabian Cancellara, Andreas Kloden and Chris Horner make a perfect attack for any team.
Frank mentioned that the team has the best available specialists in their squad, it has the top climbers and sprinters, who can perform on the mountains, the flats and in time-trials.
Four-time world time trial champion, Fabian Cancellara will lead the team in one day races, which are his favourite races throughout the calendar. The team was recently seen in Spain, as the whole RadioShack-Nissan-Trek squad is training for the coming season.
