Seed Germination LAB: Advice Needed

I'm starting my lab assignment. Ive chosen to test the effect of temperature on seed germination and im using radish seeds. I have my sample in three different locations: warm, cool, and room temp. Ive also made sure the three sample have no sunlight in order to control variables.

But the question I have is: Even with adequate water, can radish seeds germinate with NO sunlight???

Also how long will it take for the seeds to germinate and TIPS how how to have a successful germination?

  1. Seeds do not need sunlight to germinate. Vegetable seeds are big, and contain enough food reserve to produce a seedling.

Germination should take only a few days, less than a week.
