I'm totally with you.  The man has been patient and in #2 long enough and I'm glad to see his hardcourt tennis falling in line.  I look forward to a Federer/Nadal final at the US Open, I have courtside seats and just CANT WAIT!

Nah. Its no surprise. Keifer isn't really a threat to anyone. If Giles were in better shape and not so exhausted, he probably would have put up a tough game for Rafa. Gilles has guts and doesn't scare easy. That's what you need agaisnt Rafa.

You cannot be serious!  He's the most disgusting player I've ever seen.  I cannot even watch his matches any longer.  He takes too much time, is obsessive/compulsive, constantly pumps his fists in his opponents faces, and could care less about the viewers who have to watch his obnoxious habits.   How anyone could think someone constantly picking at his butt is s**y is inconceivable.

Yay ! Rafa is well on his way to be the new #1 and totally deserves it. Is there anything this s**y spainard cant do ?! Nope... he has it all baby ;) I love him soooo much and will be cheering him all the way through the upcoming tournaments. Next year at Wimbledon, im definitely gonna go lol Ive waited long enough and even to just get a glimpse of Rafa would be AMAZING :P !

I have a question see the Wimbledon ballot for 2009, do you have to send a letter and request for an application ? thanks chick :)

i hope he keeps winning, you don't wanna stop someone who has won 30 consecutive matches on clay,grass,hard if he wins every match and wins the us open. I would be like wowowowow. And then people will start to think this guy could win the slam win 4 slams in one year. he certainly capable. But we gotta be realistic,  there are certianly players out there like novak,murray,gasquet and the defending us open champion r fed lurking about. I still feel u can't count federer out just yet simply because i think he deserves the respect.

But yeh it is all about rafa rite now and it makes tennis so exciting coz he is like the unstoppable machine and it is like who can stop him from winning. so far it is no-one but i think the younger players have a better chance than roddick or federer. Simply coz they are improviin and getting stronger but rafa is taking the game to a new level. I was really impressed with his intelligence to change tactics in the murray match and the way he executed it because in that match his intelligence won him the match. it is like he has a the best forehand/one of the best backhands/moves the best/ thinks the best on court/ mentally so strong. I think the only way to beat him is to play super aggressive on both flanks, if murray's forehand was as good as his backhand. i think it will one day.

but anyway, the future is bright. i just hope he does not burn himself out/injured. Coz the game needs him!
