Rafa is a great player, already 5 majors in his early 20's. Looks like he can win about 10 before his career is over. Beating Roger validates how good he really is. I hope Roger wins the U.S. Open but that was a great match. Rafa has worked really hard to improve his game on all surfaces and unfortunately for Roger it looks like he won't be able to win the French because Rafa is so strong there.

I think it was a great match and no-one deserved to lose. I like them both and they are both brilliant players. This was one match that I did not have a favourite in One of the best finals in years.

i usually root for the underdog in any situation or sport, (unless manchester united are playing), so in this case, because of Nadal beating Federer so convincingly at the French, and because i think Federer is a great great champion, i really wanted him to win.

Also, i don't like how nadal is all about power, he wears those sleeveless tops showing off his muscles, he scratches his *** constantly, and i think federer is just a lot more elegant.

However, congrats to nadal, becus it was one of the greatest finals of all time, and so he won becus he deserved to.

I do love Federer and before i watched the match i thought Federer will win no matter what. But it was a real close game 5 set. It is upsetting for Roger when he lost. Even though he lost he still has made a mark in history for everyone to remember. Everyone respects him, even though he fell but he is still king of tennis. He might go on and win U.S open and Olympics then the rest of the tournaments he goes to. We just have to wish him a better year in 2009 where he might win French open and upset Nadal because he upsetted him on grass. Everyone makes mistakes, so you cant say federer is so bad, he still have the skills, its not like pete samprass didnt lose, its not like he ever made it to 5 in a row wimbledon finals. Roger Federer for the wind!!! GOD OF TENNIS!!!

Greatest match ever, in any sport. I'm happy for Nadal, even though I wanted Federer to win up until the very last point. I don't mind because Nadal played really well, it's not like a football match, where a team defends for 89 minutes and then scores, then I'm truly offended. Well done Nadal.
