Vamos Rafa he deserves to win it this year :)! He was soooo close last year taking roger to 5 sets and having break point chances in the 5th!!! Also does anyone remember Nadal had to play like 4 matches in a row!!!! Whereas Roger had like 4 days off then he had a walkover that was definitely an advantage !!! Anyway C`mon Nadal !!!

  1. You won't pick my answer because with your bias you'll only pick a pro-Nadal answer.

But I'll still voice my opinion which is as close to realism as any prediction can get, Nadal has shown serious signs of fault against tired opponents and I think Federer wins in 4.

    Set 1: Federer 6-4

    Set 2: Federer 7-5

    Set 3: Nadal 7-5

    Set 4: Federer 6-4

  2. Rafael in 4.

  3. Nadal I hope.

  4. >Tongue in cheek< Both Fed & Rafa won the 2nd set 7-6 & 3rd set 6-4.  The only difference is Rafa battered schuettler 6-1 in the first set, whereas Fed beat Safin 6-3.

I think it's going to be close.  I honestly haven't got a clue who i think will win. I think they're both playing as best as they ever have done.

All i can say is Vamos Rafa!

  5. On grass, you have to go with the defending champion Federer and not just because he has won here before so so many times. Also because he is playing really very well and hasnt even lost a set yet. Rafa is playing well too but Federer still has the slight edge over Rafa on grass.

    Federer wins in 5 sets

  6. Federer will win this, probably will go five sets. Rafa's good but Federer is just that little bit better in everyway.

  7. federer will win in 3 sets. federer always beat nadal in other surfaces. Federer is another level

  8. Both play very well in this tournament  but I think Federer will win in 5 long sets with an amazing performance by both players.

  9. I think Nadal got a really good chance this year!! And Federer will be under lots of pressure to try and keep his title....but nadal has played AMAZING in the past few matches so i reckon it will be a really close match...lots of tie breakers but hopefully Nadal will just have that edge over federer! :D

    C'mon Rafa!!! <3

  10. Rafael in close four sets. Im thinking there is going to be a lot of tie-breakers.

  11. Rafal Nadal v Roger Federer

    1st Set 6-4 to Federer

    2nd Set 7-6 to Nadal

    3rd Set 6-4 to Nadal

    4th Set 6-2 to Federer

    5th Set 8-6 to Federer

  12. Personally I'm a Federer fan and I think that with his pedigree on grass that he'll win but in four or five sets because Rafa will make it hard.

  13. I want Rafa to win it this year. Federa has won it many times, give it to Rafa, he deserves to win it this year, with many good wins this year. Go Rafa.

  14. So, Nadull deserves to win because he's lost the last two finals?

I'm afraid tennis doesn't work like that.

The player who plays the best in the final wins the final.

I ain't seen today's games yet, but it sounded like Federer battered Safin, whereas Nadull nearly lost the 2nd set.

    Federer to win 3-1.

  15. roger in 3 or 4.

  16. omg i seen roger play the semi final today!he was unbelievable!i know that nadal is good but i just don't think he's at the same level as roger.i'd love to see nadal win but i really can't see it.i think he'll do it next year...rogers time is running out.

  17. Nadal will win it this year. Unlike Federer, who has kinda peaked over the years, Nadal is actually IMPROVING. His serve is better, he hits better groundstrokes, and his movement on grass is improving (although it still needs a bit more work). NOBODY expected him to make the finals of WImbledon in 2006, yet he did and actually kept a close match. Last year, he took federer to 5 sets and it looked for all the world that he might put off the upset. This year, he looks even BETTER, so i'm going with Nadal.

  18. Roger will win in STRAIGHT sets. Take my word, and sit back and watch.

  19. Roger -- though nadal will have a great chance

I don't think nadal is playing the same level as what roger did in his semis

  20. I'm not a big fan of these two ..

But I guess Roger will win in 5 sets.. He's the five time Wimbledon champion..

  21. I normally do not watch Wimbledon simply because I think grass is a weird surface.... not very appealing to the spectators in my opinion. That said, this year is different. I watched each and every match from start to finish. This year is very crucial for Federer and Nadal. Federer wants to silence his critics and Nadal wants to finally prove himself on grass and also put an end to those labelling him a "one-dimensional clay court player".

Logic says Federer... but deep down in my heart I think it's going to be Rafael Nadal. It's his year. He might not be the better player on grass but his fierce will, passion, and determination I think will be enough. Last year was a real hearbreak but he's closing the gap and it's his turn. Nadal is now a lot further on clay than Federer, but on grass it's pretty close.

This is definitely a 5-setter. Unless Federer or Nadal come into the match on top of their game and completely dominate.... maybe 4 sets. But, neither player is going to give up that easily. There is soooo much on the line on Sunday.

    Nadal: 7-6, 4-6, 7-5, 3-6, 7-5.

  22. I like both these players and the different elements, they bring to the game.

Federer, as good as last year,(for arguments sake)

Nadal, improved his game immensely and injury free, and a huge psychological edge over federer after wiping the floor with him in Paris. And as you said rubbish scheduling for Nadal last year.

End of the day, Nadal in 4.

  23. I definitely think this is Rafa's year to shine.  He has improved soo much over the last couple of years and last year, Roger was pushed to his limit and Rafa is even better than he was last year.  Don't get me wrong, Federer is a great player but Nadal demolished him at Roland Garros this year and that could hang over Federer's head at Wimbledon.  Rafa has totally transformed his game to suit a grass court and thoroughly deserves to win!   This looks like a man ready for battle - http://1loup.net/share/images/Nike%20Pro...

I really hope Nadal wins this year and I think he will take the victory in five sets :-)

Yeah I remember last year, poor Rafa's matches were delayed by rain and he was playing for like 4 days solid when Federer had 4 days off. Grrr!

Did you see at the end of Rafa's semi-final match, the woman trying to take a pic of herself with Rafa and she was holding the camera round the wrong way and Rafa had to take the picture for her lmao.  I couldn't stop laughing :-D

    Vamos Rafa xx

  24. I hate it when people say.. Federer has won to many times.. "GIVE IT TO..."

    WHAT??

GIVE away a title? Says you and what army? Who in the world do you think wants to work that hard to achieve THEIR dream and then feel sorry for someone else who will still have a chance later and give it to that someone else? Not Federer I know that.

Federer will win, 4-5 sets. Nadal will give him a run for his money, but Federer will take the title.

  25. LOL...you Nadal fans are very strange in your desires for him to win. He does deserve to win, he played a good tournament. Federer deserves to win also, don't need to state why. But bias comments like yours are expected, after all we are fans.

As a Federer fan, I want him to win, but I expect a tough match.

Nadal made the finals and played Federer to 5 sets, even after the bad schedule that week. It speaks alot for his fitness, which I think reduced the advantage Federer would have had if he was playing any other player. Nadal is a machine, so I doubt playing three days in a row affected him direly.

Federer can't play like he did at the French, and he needs to keep the intensity. I don't think Nadal really felt any pressure yet for the tournament, neither Federer, so it will be nice to see how they handle it.

Federer in 4 sets. He will lose a tiebreak.

  26. this yr..i really mean this yr..in semi nadal play a very tired old man...definitely a huge advantage...but your  nadal is unbeatable...top of the hill.....the best player in history....i think federer will lose 0-6 0-6 0-6...happy with my answer!!!!!

  27. Nadal will win in 5 sets. Predict score

    6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 10-8

  28. I expect, or should I say I would think, another 5 set final is in store. I want Nadal, but this is Rogers surface as clay is Nadals, and Roger as always looks awesome. If Nadal wins, which again I hope, surely he wont demolish Federer as he did in French Final. Or would I want to see Federer exchange the demolishing, and swipe Nadal off the court so easily. Another great final to be played, no doubt.

  29. Rafael Nadal.

I am not going to insult Federer because someone insults Nadal. Fed is a great player.

I am not saying it will be easy.

I dont care how many sets or how close it will be.

I wont make excuses for his victory or loss.

I am going to support Nadal.
