Rafa played amazing from the start. Roger`s tactics at the net werent very convincing he did gain some points but most of the time he hit it out or into the net. I know Rafa played Amazing and i couldnt be happier :) ! Its just why did Roger not even win one game lol its embarrassing i mean it was a grandslam final you think Fed would have wanted to get on the scoreboard ? Opinions please....

  1. there could be something physically or mentally troubling Fed; he hasn't been himself all year. Success fatigue perhaps?

Specifically today he seemed afraid to take risks and go for the ball. he seemed to be playing too conservatively and against rafa on a roll you can't do that.

Today was really painful to watch. i didn't like that last set and I hope not to have to witness such a public humiliation of such a great player ever again.

I'm so,so glad Rafa won the 4th RG and I hope he goes on to win 7!! (one more than Borg!) But the sweet taste of victory is soured by Fed's overwhelming defeat.

  2. He looked like he didn't care anymore. I thought that when he was 30 love down 0-4, he would do his first game in the third, but didn't.

  3. Simple. Rafa's been playing the best claycourt tennis of his life these last few matches and possibly the best tennis of his life. He was in THE ZONE. Sure Fed didn't play his very best, but how much of that has to do with Rafa? Mentally and physically, it's just so much of an ask against Nadal that when you go into a match against him, you already know you're gonna have to pretty much play the match of your life to take him down on clay, especially in 3 outta 5; that thought can be a bit rattling. As a hardcore Fed fan, it's rough to see your guy so close to absolute greatness if it weren't for just one tournament, one match, and one player. All you can say is congrats to Rafa as when you play that well you absolutely deserve the title. Well, Rafa played phenomenal the whole tournament, so it's his day today. And that's a wrap.

  4. I don't think anything or anyone could have stopped Rafa today.  He was absolutely amazing, probably the best match anyone has ever played at Roland Garros.  Can you believe that Dinara Safina won as many games in the first set of her straight set loss to Ivanovic as Roger Federer did in his ENTIRE match against Rafa?  I'm still shocked.  The only other time I've seen Federer come close to being routed like this was by Djokovic in the semis of Australia, but that was only for a set and a half, the rest of the match was pretty close.  Today, Federer had no chance at all.  Rafa gave him no chance at all.  Some of those returns and passing shots from Rafa, from both wings, were just jaw-dropping.  To make Federer look that pedestrian?  It's never been done before I don't think.

  5. Rafa is the best on clay.  That was one h**l of a display of how to play clay court tennis.  6-0 in the final set against Federer is some statement by Rafa.  Although Roger missed alot of easy volleys, he couldn't really rally with Rafa at all.  Rafa got to every balls except a few where Roger hit winners right on the line.  I guess the only way to beat Rafa on clay is to hit right on the line for a winner on EVERY point lol :)

  6. it is no doubt that Rafa played amazingly today! GOD has truly blessed him with talent but of course, federer is also a great palyer, with GOD given talent.

    vamos rafa!

    GOD bless

JESUS loves you all and so do i

  7. because rafa was on fire and he just lost hope after the first two serve breaks in the third set
