Rafael Nadal: Howling story of the Spanish hero – Tennis Special (Part One)
World number three, Rafael Nadal, was an unknown teenager when he left the room of his doctor weeping just because he was given a red signal to continue the career in the field of tennis. Yes, the reason was none other than the foot injury that has always given him h**l.
Nadal was accompanied by his father, mother, sister, uncle, grandparents and godparents. Everyone was weeping and no one knew what to do in such a miserable moment of the Spaniard’s life. They were speechless because tennis was everything for the King of Clay. It was a heartbreaking moment for the 19-year-old kid who dreamed of achieving the supreme heights in the field of tennis.
A genial injury deformed the tarsal scaphoid; the connection of his foot. Sebastian, father of Nadal, passed on his advice to his son to change his professional but Nadal could never think of doing anything else than tennis; although he had some sort of mastery in the field of gold and the physical situation of the Spanish hero also hinted at some profession like that which asked less strength and pressure on his lower body.
Despite everything, warrior hood and fighting spirit was in his genes. He calmly walked into the first encounter at Majorca's Son Gual Golf Club and whispered to his competitor, “Hostile match, right?" and then there was no conversation between the two players until Nadal hit the final putt.
A sweet turnaround in the luck was heard by the Spanish hero in 2005 when his doctor hinted at a possible comeback to tennis for the Spanish superhuman but he needed specially designed shoes that would absorb the pressure and avoid any strain on his knee. Pressure was to be diverted on his back and the cost of those customized shoes was pretty high but Nadal was ready to put everything on the line in order to make a comeback to the field of tennis.
There was absolutely no time to waste for the teenager and there is even less time for the Spaniard now. World class career of Nadal has crashed into the crossroads and the fans are eagerly waiting; glued to the updates of the Spanish hero just to hear that he has successfully healed from the chronic knee injury and hasn’t decided to quit tennis at the age of 26.
It is too early to witness someone like Nadal leave the arena. At 19-year-old only his family wept when he couldn’t continue because no one knew him but now the whole world is going to weep if they are to see the back of the former world number one forever. He is a true hero and no one wants him to quit tennis. Those mesmerizing banana returns and superhuman stamina with the ability to keep the point alive even when there seems no chance at all, no one can do that but Nadal.
The sad story that was revealed by her coach c*m uncle, Toni Nadal, will be continued in the second part. Stay tuned!
