Rafael Nadal confirms news of his warm up tournaments –Tennis News
King of Clay and 11 times Grand Slam Champion, Rafael Nadal, is resolute to  initiate outstanding performances in the year 2013. The Spaniard was plagued with a knee injury in the second round of the 2012 Wimbledon Championships
and he is struggling hard to achieved his lost glory ever since that day.
The 26-year-old is all peaceful and collected about his current situation as he is very sure about it ultimate triumph as a sportsman. In the year 2004, he encountered a similar injury but faced it with a strong conviction. He
completely silenced his detractors by his remarkable rejoinder and smoothly received the world number one spot.
In an interview, he told the media, “With a week of training, no miracles or timetables, I am working to return to being the same as I was before the injury and am sure that we are going to make it. I came back the same or better,
and my goal is to do it again this time”
The left-hander is all set to march forward with determination but he definitely needs a little practise in order to pick his momentum at the beginning of his tennis campaign. He needs to tune himself, as he is more susceptible
to damage than before.
The Spanish challenger made a smart move when he showed his approval to contest for an exhibition match at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in the Abu Dhabi, held from 27th to 29th December 2012. He
even intends to participate at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open from 31st December to 6th January and this will surely help to warm up before the season-opening Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open.
Nadal’s performance at the Abu Dhabi and Doha tournament can be equated to some one's drive in their new car. The tournaments will be rock-strewn but he can surely prevail over his competitors due to his might and superior experience.
At the inauguration of the Australian Open on 14 January 2013, he can start the game at a remarkable pace.
The player will surely have a rusty time in his future tournaments and it will require him to make swift adjustments. The big stage is unquestionably a competitive trail and it is a battle between all the top seeded players, endeavouring
to secure the world number one spot.
