Rafael Nadal defeat Andy Roddick in straight sets?

Question

7-6 6-4 in almost an hour and a half. What are your thoughts?

That's a great win for Nadal. He really is coming on strong in his bid to win Wimbledon. Let's see if he can beat Djokovic in the final (assuming he gets there).

For Roddick this has to be a very bad loss - to lose on his favorite surface to a clay court specialist. This is surely a sign that his best is far behind him.

but rafa did play better, i have to admit that.-

i guess the walkover of murray and fish retiring didn't help andy, he needed more time on court.-

a shame........

Rafa has adapted really well to the grass courts. Im very impressed with him especially after coming from just winning the french. Vamos Rafa x*x

It's not suprising at all.Roddick's game depends mostly on his serve and he needs more than tht.And he was playing the best player this year(atp race) anyway..

just as i expected.

nadal improved way too much for a-rod to handle.

i dont think andy will threaten rafa ever again - on any surface. andy is a one-trick pony.  his game is predictable.

i don't think he is capable of add new dimensions to his game, i think he will slowly fade out.

My thoughts are despite his greatness on clay, and his all court game, he still goes underachieved, and is highly under rated. Many fail to realize he has made it to The Wimbledon Finals twice, and has been ranked #2 longer than any other player, ever.  He, Fed, and Novak are the most consistent and the more challenging players to beat on all surfaces. Nadal heads into Wimbledon as one of the favs for that reason. I am not at all surprised of his victory over Roddick, for if anyone is over rated it is him. He doesnt have enough diversity in his game to beat the top 3 or some others for that matter WTG Rafa!!!
