Rafael Nadal join hands with PokerStars – Tennis News
World number two, Rafael Nadal, is all set for a very busy summer especially with the inclusion of London Olympics along with the normal schedule of tennis. He will be playing at the Wimbledon Championships next week and participate
in the London Olympics starting in the final week of July. So, there is technically no time to enjoy for the Spaniard.
However, the Spanish number one has stunning plans for the small breaks between the tournaments and the hectic schedule ends. He will be investing some time in learning some Poker tips and has teamed up with PokerStars. He confessed,
“It’s no secret that I love to compete and try my very best in everything, whether that’s tennis, golf or video games. When I discovered the game of poker, I chose to join PokerStars because they understand what it takes to be the best and associate themselves
with the qualities of champions.”
It is not new for Nadal fans to know that he is moving in other sports. He was a terrific striker in the football league of his colony before starting official tennis training sessions with his uncle, Toni Nadal. He had a breathtaking
model-athlete photo shoot with a gorgeous 27-year-old blonde, Bar Refaeli, for the Sports Illustrated magazine earlier this year and now he found some peace of mind in playing Poker. It is always good to hear new things happening to athletes and their lives
are not just tied to their professional sport.
When the grass court season will come to an end, the seven-time French Open Champion will devote a lot of time to Poker and represent Poker Stars in the online tournaments, their marketing campaigns and advertising as well during
charity events. He is now technically a brand ambassador for them.
PokerStars Chairman of the Board, Mark Scheinberg commented, “Rafa Nadal represents all that is great about competition; the mix of talent, intellect, dedication and mental strength that you find in champions in every sport. We
are proud to have Rafa as an ambassador for the brand and excited at the opportunity to help him enjoy and improve his game.”
The Two-time Wimbledon Champion will look to defy all the odds and grab his 12th Grand Slam title in London in July. He is currently in Mallorca, Spain; practicing on the grass court surfaces and enjoying time with his
friends and family. He will be back soon in the fields of Wimbledon; slaughtering his opponents with killer forehand winners.
