Rafael Nadal will be out of action for two more months at least – Tennis News
Former world number one, Rafael Nadal, can’t return to the tennis circuit for two more months at least because he is still having a sore knee and the massage is probably not living up to his expectations. He is finding it very
difficult to get rid of the chronic pain that has put his career at the crossroads.
The Spanish professional is eager to make a return to the tennis circuit but his worst nightmare is continuously placing hurdles in his way. He has not been seen in action ever since his surprising second round exit from the Wimbledon
Championships at the hands of the Czech underdog, Lukas Rosol.
Spanish hero commented, “I really want to be back competing and enjoying the tennis tour but I have many years in front of me and my knee needs some rest. I will be back when I have no pain and able to play fully fit."
He still eyes a long term career that was not at all on the cards way back in 2005 when he was suffering from the same knee injury and doctors placed a lid on his career advising him to stop playing tennis and chose a different
profession that will require less wear and tear of the body. However, the willpower of Nadal didn’t decrease at all and finally he found a way out to play in the tennis courtesy specially designed shoes that would absorb the pressure and put extra stress on
his back instead of knee.
Nadal will not quit that easily. He is a warrior and everyone knows that. The way he grinds his body at the tennis court for the sake of single point clearly depicts his love for the game. However, he needs to be a bit more careful
while putting undue pressure on his knee and stop running for the balls that are clearly the winners. He has the ability to keep the points alive even though it seems to be over but that is only hurting his knee and killing years from his professional career.
It is high time that he works on his technique more than his stamina.
