Rafael Van der Vaart and other Tottenham players were left shocked and distressed as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabrice-Muamba-c13216 collapsed whilst playing against them for Bolton in their F.A Cup quarterfinal. The match took place as scheduled but the referee
had to call the encounter off when Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the ground due to chest pains and seizures.
 The young Englishman who has also played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 U-18 national team was then taken to the hospital but later it was revealed that his heart stopped working the moment he collapsed on the ground.
Tottenham players were left distraught and the whole saga has come as a huge shock to the English Premier League as whole as well, something that has given rise to the Pray for Muamba campaign. Van der Vaart’s team now take on
Stoke City in mid-week but the attacking midfielder has already admitted that seeing Muamba collapse on the field was the absolute lowest point of his footballing career.
Van der Vaart said, "It's almost incomprehensible what has happened. [It was] simply horrifying to see such a young player on the ground struggling for his life. I was standing about 10 metres from him but I didn't see him fall.
It happened behind my back, but when I turned I immediately knew things weren't good.”
He added, "At that time all players on the field felt the panic as well. It was horrible to witness; it's the absolute low in my football career. I'd like to express my sincere support to the family, team-mates and everyone who
is involved with Bolton Wanderers. Fabrice, we'll keep praying for you and I hope with all my heart that everything will be all right again."
