The Manchester United right back has formed a formidable partnership with his fellow winger at Old Trafford and both are now working in tandem to haunt opposition defenders and also to thwart counter attacks in the English
Premier League...
Rafael da Silva has come out and admitted that his game has improved at Manchester United as he has been playing alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Valencia-c6345. The Brazilian right back has been criticized in the past for being too eccentric in tackle
and also being too immature on the field with his sending offs and reckless bookings.
However this season the young full back has reformed himself and whilst playing along with Valencia, he has shown that he is capable of forming a partnership on the right wing with the Ecuadorian winger. Rafael did well in United’s
latest win over Aston Villa as he provided Valencia with an outlet with his surging up field runs. At the back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 and Rafael covered for each other as the former Wigan man tracked back to help the young Brazilian out.
Manchester United’s right back said, "To be honest, I think it's well recognised by everybody that Antonio has been one of my best friends at the club. That's not to disrespect anyone, but I think we've created a very good understanding
on the pitch. I can feel what he wants to do and vice-versa, and that's probably the reason why we have so much understanding on the pitch.”
He added, "I think it's quite difficult to define Antonio's qualities on the pitch. He's quite fast and direct. He looks for the ball all the time. If I go forward, he covers me at the back and vice-versa. It's easy to work with
him and, when I see him on the pitch, it leaves me more relaxed due to the understanding we have on the field."
Rafael also stated, "I think the reason [behind my improved form] is I'm probably getting a bit older and more mature. I see things in a different perspective. My aim is always to help the team, especially this season, to achieve
the title we are after. So it's probably due to being a bit more mature. Having been part of the last three seasons when we were twice champions and once not, I know what to expect in the last few matches.”
