Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has revealed he believes Watford were unlucky to lose in the FA Cup clash against the Spurs.
The 28-year-old scored the only goal of the match, giving his side the win in the fixture which saw the Championship side put up a decent fight. They clearly had the better chances and would have gone on to the next round had it not been for Van der Vaart’s
lone goal.

“Yes, I think so. I think Watford deserved more, maybe a win because they were the better team tonight.
Sometimes you have these types of days, the 100% sharpness isn't there and I think it was a difficult game, the pitch was heavy and they played a great game.”
Meanwhile Cudicini also agreed with teammate Van der Vaart over the fact that his side had not been at their best in the FA Cup clash. However, the Italian revealed he expected a tough challenge even from the Championship sides in the FA Cup fixtures.
Cudicini revealed:

Manager Harry Redknapp praised Watford for putting up a terrific fight and revealed his side were lucky to have made it through to the next round. The English manager said:
"We're normally good, tonight was not the Tottenham team I see every week, we didn't play well, we were poor.”
