Rafinha elated with Bayern Munich switch – Bundesliga news
Former Schalke full-back has stated that he is happy to have joined the Munich giants from Italian side Genoa, and has wishes to make an impact straight away. The defender has hoped to win trophies with Germany’s most successful club and is desperate to
prove himself to the Bavarian faithful.
The Brazilian made a return to the German League after leaving for Genoa last summer. Before that, he spent five years with Die Knappen but failed to secure any silverware as the club finished runners-up two times to Stuttgart and Bayern Munich, in 2007
and 2010 respectively.
Bayern Munich’s search for a quality right-back has finally ended as they have signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rafinha-c30431 on a three-year deal. The Munich giants were widely linked to Manchester City’s Jerome Boateng but the English club’s heavy price tag had stalled the deal.
Rafinha expressed his delight on joining Bayern Munich and stated that he is excited to play in the German League once again. He added that he wants to win silverware and he has joined a club with a rich history. The player is also insisted that he will
enjoy the prospect of playing with the best players in the world against some very competitive teams.
“I'm delighted my transfer to [Bayern] Munich has worked out and that I'll be playing in the Bundesliga again. The target now is to finally win the trophies I've been denied so far. I'll now be facing the best teams and best players in the world. I'm very
happy,” the defender was quoted as saying in an interview.

Rafinha made 33 Serie A appearances for Genoa last season and scored two goals. However, he never truly settled down in the Italian peninsula and duly returned to German pastures.
