Raft design?

Question

we got a raft race coming up and are late with our design. we have 4 45gal (200l) drums and about 20 5gals (25l) we got just under a week to build it. was thinking of a trimaran with the 4 45gals in line and then to otu riggers with 3 5gals on each side last year we used 6 45gals in a catamarn in 2 lines of 3 the drag was huge and we where slow and surgestions with less drag
