Rage and Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 join the PC Sales Charts party in the United Kingdom
It has been another seven days of business in the video game industry in the United Kingdom. The week saw a number of titles make their PC format debuts including the post-apocalyptic shooter, Rage and Konami’s long running football simulation series, Pro
Evolution Soccer 2012.
Did PES 2012 manage to out sell FIFA 12 and did Rage do enough to announce itself to the PC world?
10. The Sims 3: Late Night: It seems that dawn is approaching for ‘Late Night’ as the game’s sales have taken a dip since the last time gamers saw it. The expansion pack to the game sold well, but after every late night comes a long day
and it seems that is to be the case here as well.
9. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm: It may have fallen into the abyss for the past few weeks, but it seems the nerds are out in force and have given the game new life as it emerges from the depths and back into the top 10.
One of the most followed games in the industry, no chart would be complete without a World of Warcraft title.
8. The Sims: Medieval: While Late Night may be nearing the end of its days, it seems the other expansion pack to The Sims 3 is still doing well as gamers in the UK are enjoying fooling around in the medieval days.
7. FIFA 12: It seems that FIFA 12 is past the apex of its sales curve as the Electronic Arts title begins its decline down the charts, which can only mean one thing, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 has out sold it for the week. But by how much?
6. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: The Missing Link Downloadable Content pack for the game seems to have arrived at just the right time as the game manages to maintain a strong position in the charts for yet another week.
5. Pro Evolution Soccer 2012: It may not have made the sensational debut FIFA 12 had made but it did sell more than its competitor in its debut week. Yet, to be honest Konami will be slightly disappointed it did not finish higher up in the
charts.
4. The Sims 3: Generations and 3. The Sims 3: We have said it before and we’ll say it again, no PC chart is ever complete without at least three Sims titles amongst its top 10.
2. Might and Magic: Heroes: Ubisoft will be satisfied with their games debut, after all it did outsell PES 2012 in a football mad country.
1. Rage: so debuting at number one is Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic first-person-shooter. It may not be perfect but it’s unique approach to the FPS genre seems to have garnered enough interest to take it to number one!
