Raggside Gaga geared up to win William Hill – The Home Of Betting
The A. McCarroll-trained black dog, Raggside Gaga, has all the credentials he will need to notch the William Hill – The Home Of Betting, a high-stakes Grade A2 race that is going to take place at Newcastle on Wednesday, July 11.
In the £112 event, the four-year-old veteran hound will unleash his excellent racing skills against five strong rivals after breaking from the red box.
Raggside Gaga has accomplished a number of glaring feats since, the dawn of the calendar year. In the month of April, the dashing dog bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs over 480 meters, winning each race by the big margin of 7 ½ lengths. He stepped ahead to gain another grand victory on May 8.
On June 30, the brilliant son of Head Bound, out of Castleview Lark, elegantly finished as a runner-up in an HP race. In his last outing on July 7, the experienced sprinter superbly finished first by the margin of 2 lengths in an A3 race, while being sent as the 6-4 favourite.
Overall, Raggside Gaga’s portfolio is packed with iconic marks that distinguish him from the other runners on this card. Thus, the experienced hound looks to be the strongest candidate for the William Hill – The Home Of Betting.
The only threat to him is, Pantone Deal, who accomplished two back-to-back triumphs in the month of June. The D. Calvert-trained brindle dog stepped forward to finish as a runner-up in an A2 race over 480 meters on June 23.
The son of Kinloch Brae, out of Dinnyday Lucy, followed it with a third place finish in another A2 outing on July 3. He finished 4th in his last start on July 7----that was again an A2 race.
With these glaring feats, Pantone Deal has laid a solid foundation ahead of the tonight’s marathon. If he manages to make an accurate use of his excellent skills, he will have up to 85 percent chances of winning.
