Question:

Raging hormones while pregnant?

by  |  earlier

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and find that my emotiond are uncontrollable most of the time. I had a hysterical crying fit the other night after an argument with my boyfriend and was hitting him in his face with my pillow as hard as I could. It's embarassing to be so crazily hormonal. Is there any way I can try to be not so nuts?

  1. I don't think so. Just pray he'll remain patient with you through this.

  2. Hormones are raging during pregnancy a LOT!  People understand but you can't blame all your outbursts on pregnancy.  When you feel your hormones starting to flare out of control, think of how you want to release those hormones.  Obviously the best idea isn't to hit someone (even if it is with a pillow).  Try breathing and thinking about what rage may do to your growing child.  It's hard, but with practice it can work!!  It only gets worse, so learn to deal with it now... :-)

  3. no... its just hormones... sorry hun

  4. hahaha don't worry. i scare my boyfriend half the time with my raging hormones. if your boyfriend can't handle your hormones, then he can't be a good boyfriend. my boyfriend always trys to make me feel better.

  5. I cry at everything.. you're not alone. : )  Try not to take it out on your man though.. .you wouldn't want him to hit you would you?    If you're upset it's ok to admit that it's your "pregnancy hormones" acting up.   I think a lot of us go through feeling a little crazy while we're pregnant. : )

  6. Nah, its normal and there is not much to be done besides him being sympathetic to your needs!

  8. just try to relax and calm down...it happens to the best of us....

  9. I'm right there with ya hun! I cry over EVERYTHING! Today, hubby and I had a little heated discussion(nothing major) and I broke down in tears. It was really nothing...something I would have shrugged off before. Just try not to get violent, try your best to control it and explain to him that your raging hormones are a part of pregnancy and although you will try your best to control them ask him to bare with you and try not to say or do things to make you sad or mad. Good luck!

  10. Take up Yoga or palates. It will help some.
