Ajinkya Rahane wants to create his own identity–Cricket News Update

legend Rahul Dravid.
“I want to create my own identity, so I don’t want to be compared with him (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229). It’s a very good opportunity for me to learn from him,” said Rahane.
The 23-year-old batsman has once again excelled in IPL like his previous years, and is currently enjoying his stint with the Royals, having notched up 463 runs in 12 innings, the third-highest in the current season.
The right-handed batsman is one of the few players of the tournament who have remained consistent performers for their franchises. Despite being leapfrogged by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739, the player is hopeful of regaining the Orange Cap through sheer
weight of runs.
“I just know that if I keep playing well, Orange Cap is going to be with me. I just want to contribute to the team in every match,” said the Rajasthan Royals opener.
Rahane has been playing for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 since 2007 and has scored almost 5000 runs in first-class cricket including 18 centuries. His batting average of 68.47 speaks volumes of his potential, and he is widely regarded as one of the most promising player in the
Indian domestic circuit.
“I have been playing domestic cricket for the last five years and the experience is helping me a lot here. Praveen Amre has also given me a lot of tips, which are helping me here,” said the Rajasthan Royals opener.
The youngster believes that the experience he has gained by playing alongside some of the world’s best will help him improve his game before going on to admit that good performances lead to a certain weight of expectations.
The former Mumbai Indians’ star batsman made his first international appearance last year against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in a One-Day International. Overall, Rahane has played 11 ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals, but considering his current form, he is expected to
be a regular member of the national team in the near future.
